My name is Aude-Noelle Nevius: as an artist and illustrator, I was inspired to start Illustraline (formerly Illustra Design) in 2002 after creating a line of professionally printed wildflower cards that brought praising comments and commercial inquiries. I have always had a passion for color, lines, and shapes, and the message you can convey using them. It only seemed logical that I would end up working both in illustration and graphic design, which I had also been studying. It was time to expand my services and in 2004 Illustraline became a full-time venture. Since then, it has grown steadily and has helped numerous clients turn the investment in custom design services into profitable rewards.
My view on both media: illustration's lack of verbal explicitness forces the viewer to use their imagination and this can all be up to interpretation as it is close to fine arts; on the other hand graphic design will give you the meaning point blank since it's mostly about precise communication. I am a designer and an illustrator, and love to work in both fields equally: they are different but can complement each other.
In the end, there is nothing more rewarding than receiving an email from a client where they compliment your work and are thrilled with what you did. Since it is always a challenge, having accurately translated their vision inspires me greatly.
Illustraline is against speculative work and presentations.
