My name is Aude-Noelle Nevius: as an artist and illustrator, I was inspired to start Illustraline (formerly Illustra Design) in 2002 after creating a line of professionally printed wildflower cards that brought praising comments and commercial inquiries. I have always had a passion for color, lines, and shapes, and the message you can convey using them. It only seemed logical that I would end up working both in illustration and graphic design, which I had also been studying. It was time to expand my services and in 2004 Illustraline became a full-time venture. Since then, it has grown steadily and has helped numerous clients turn the investment in custom design services into profitable rewards.

My view on both media: illustration's lack of verbal explicitness forces the viewer to use their imagination and this can all be up to interpretation as it is close to fine arts; on the other hand graphic design will give you the meaning point blank since it's mostly about precise communication. Nowadays designers claim to be branding experts, or advertising designers, environmental designers, but rarely designers. And never an illustrator. I am a designer and an illustrator, and love to work in both fields equally: they are different but can complement each other.

In the end, there is nothing more rewarding than receiving an email from a client where they compliment your work and are thrilled with what you did. Since it is always a challenge, having accurately translated their vision inspires me greatly.
